Geoff is regarded as one of the greatest long distance runners in Gothic history; he competed in Cross-Country and Track for four consecutive years under JCSC Hall of Fame Coach/Athletic Director Tom Gerrity.
Stehli won the New Jersey State College Athlete Conference Cross-Country Championship in both 1963 and 1965, finishing second in 1964. In 1965 he won the National Association Intercollegiate Athletics District 31, Cross-Country Championship after finishing second in 1963, ninth in 1964 and tenth in 1962. Among his other outstanding accomplishments were a fourth place finish in the Collegiate Track Conference Cross-Country Championships and third place in the two-mile event in the NAIA Outdoor Track and Field Championships, both in 1963.
Geoff was the leading performer on the 1964 Gothic Cross-Country squad that won the only NJSCAC team title in school history.
