New Jersey City University Athletics

John participated in basketball for four years and was captain in his junior and senior year. He is presently Chair of the College’s Board of Trustees. A partner of the New York law firm Barry, McTiernan and Moore, John has been instrumental in promoting support for the renovation of the Tidelands Athletic complex and other athletic projects. Appointed to the Board of Trustees in 1982, he has been the board’s leading supporter of increased resources and improved facilities for the athletic program and a strong advocate of the importance of athletics in the life of college. John was the first Chair of the Governing Board of the State Colleges.
