NJCU/MONTCLAIR MEN’S SOCCER POSTPONED UNTIL OCTOBER 30

- Jilmar Perez and the Gothic Knights will challenge three-time defending NJAC champion Montclair State in the season finale on October 30.

JERSEY CITY, NJ (www.NJCUGothicKnights.com)...The New Jersey Athletic Conference men's soccer game between New Jersey City University and nationally #3/4 ranked Montclair State University, scheduled for Wednesday, October 28 at 4 p.m. in Jersey City, has been postponed because of continual heavy rain.
 
The schools will now play on Friday, October 30 at 3 p.m. at NJCU's Robert L. McNulty Memorial Soccer Field. NJCU (6-9-2) is 4-3-1 at home this year and will be playing the final game of the 2009 season.
 
Prior to the contest, the Gothic Knights will honor its four seniors—AWAL AHMED (Elizabeth, NJ/Linden), JEAN MOMBRUN (Orange, NJ/St. Benedict's Prep), MICKAEL PEREIRA (Nutley, NJ/Harrison) and JILMAR PEREZ (Princeton, NJ/South Brunswick) on Senior Day.
 
Montclair State (15-0-2, 7-0-1), the three-time defending NJAC champions, is the 2009 NJAC regular season champions as well.
 
This is the third weather-related postponement NJCU has experienced in men's soccer in less than two weeks.
