INDIANAPOLIS, IN (www.NJCUGothicKnights.com)...New Jersey City University will learn whether it has been selected to participate in the 2010 NCAA National Collegiate Women's Bowling Championship during a live broadcast on Wednesday, March 24, at 4 p.m. The NCAA selection show will air from an in-house studio at the NCAA national office and can be seen at www.NCAA.com. Eight teams will be selected by the NCAA National Committee on an at-large basis.

The NJCU Athletics Department will offer a live viewing of the selection show in the study lounge of the John J. Moore Athletics and Fitness Center, located adjacent to the lobby, beginning at 3:45 p.m. The NJCU Community is encouraged to attend. The NJCU team and its supporters will be featured live on the show as the NCAA will broadcast a reaction shot via teleconference when the announcement of whether the Gothic Knights will compete at the NCAAs is made.

Additionally, the NCAA will conduct a live interview with 10th year Gothic Knight head bowling coach FRANK PARISI, the Chair of the NCAA National Committee.

NJCU is the host school for the 2010 NCAA Championship, which will be held from April 8-10 at Brunswick Zone Carolier Lanes in North Brunswick, NJ. Tickets are now on sale by visiting www.NJCUGothicKnights.com or calling 201-200-2444.

The Gothic Knights, ranked No. 8 nationally among Division I, II and III schools, finished the regular season with a 72-41 overall record and won the 2010 Northeast Conference regular season championship.

NJCU is one of only four schools in the country that have been selected to all six previous NCAA Championships since the event debuted in 2004. That puts the Gothic Knights in elite company, joining three-time national champion University of Nebraska (2004, 2005, 2009), three-time national finalist University of Central Missouri, and 2008 champion and current #1 ranked University of Maryland Eastern Shore.
