PITMAN, N.J. — The New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) has officially announced its 2025 Outdoor Track & Field All-Conference selections, and junior sprinter
Pratt Charles (Jersey City, N.J./University Charter) of New Jersey City University (NJCU) has been named to the All-NJAC First Team. This honor follows Charles' standout performance at the 2025 NJAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships, where he captured the gold medal in the men's 400-meter dash. He is the first First-Team All-NJAC selection since 2009.
Charles delivered a career-best performance in the 400 meters, clocking a time of 48.32 seconds. Not only did this mark secure him the conference title, but it also etched his name into NJCU history as the seventh-fastest 400m time ever recorded in the program. In addition, he becomes the first athlete in NJCU's history to win an NJAC championship in the 400-meter event, further solidifying his place as one of the top sprinters in school history.
This recognition marks Charles' first career All-NJAC honor. During the 2024 outdoor season, he was named NJAC Men's Field Athlete of the Week. Academically, Charles has also demonstrated a strong commitment to excellence, earning Honorable Mention on the 2023-24 Academic All-NJAC Team.
