Denzel Banks hit the biggest shot of his career to lead NJCU to a 67-65 win over Stockton on February 13. His buzzer-beating, fall-away, off-balance jumper was NJCU’s first buzzer-beating victory in recent memory. He was consistent for the week, shooting a combined 57.9 percent (11-19 FG) in a two-game split with Stockton. He scored 12 points in both games, averaging 12.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.0 steals and 1,5 assists per game. NJCU is 3-1 in the NJAC and near the top of the league standings, behind TCNJ. It is the sixth time in his career he has been named NJCU Athlete of the Week.
