ANDREA DELUCREZIA is the NJCU Women’s Athlete of the Week for the second time this season after going 2-1 last week including a pair of wins over Rutgers-Newark on April that snapped a 74-game New Jersey Athletic Conference losing streak, giving the Knights their first league win since April 6, 2002.

 

She was 2-1 with a 2.86 ERA in four appearances. In game one against Newark on April 14, won 3-1, she did not allow an earned run and just six hits, fanning seven, and walking two. She entered the nightcap in relief, and pitched two perfect innings, fanning two as the Knights cruised 9-1 in six innings. On April 10, she was a hard-luck loser to William Paterson University, allowing two earned runs (10 total) and 12 hits with three strikeouts and three walks.
