Junior All-America shooting guard DANA JOHN (Hillside, NJ/Pocono Mountain East (Pa.)) is the NJCU Men's Ahtlete of the Week for the 10th time in his career and the second straight week after he averaged 16.0 points, 8.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game for NJCU.
He shot .857 from the line (6-7), 2-5 from three-point range (.400) and .308 from the field (4-13) in a 78-74 loss at 2007 NCAA qualifier Manhattanville College on December 3.
He enters this week needing 13 points to become the 26th member of NJCU’s 1,000-point club and he will appear on ESPN Television on December 11 at 7 p.m.
Through December 9, John ranks second in the NJAC in total points (152), three-pointers made (23) and threes per game (3.29), third in scoring (21.7), third in minutes (32.86), seventh in free throw percentage (.814, 35-43), seventh in steals (2.29), and 14th in defensive rebounds (3.86).
