Junior guard/forward Arnese Goodman (Jersey City, NJ/Lincoln) is the NJCU Women's Athlete of the Week for the first time this season and the third time in the last two years, after she sparked the Gothic Knights to a 77-21, 56-point rout of City College of New York on December 21. It marked the 17th time in school history the Knights have won a game by at least 50

 

Goodman led all scorers with 16 points and four steals, in 26 minutes, shooting 7-of-17 from the field. She helped NJCU uncork a 33-4 first half run while registering a 36-1 margin in points off turnovers.

 

For the season, Goodman is one of three NJCU players averaging double figures in scoring. She is second on the team in scoring (11.7), third in rebounds (5.3), third in blocks (1.0) and four in assists (2.0).

 

Among the NJAC statistical leaders through December 24, Goodman ranks seventh in scoring, 10th in blocked shots, 11th in minutes played (29.80), and 18th in rebounding.
