Freshman guard ANGELA FITZGERALD (Jersey City, NJ/Marist) is the NJCU Female Athlete of the Week for the second time this season after she had a double-double in a 50-48 loss to John Jay College on December 12. Fitzgerald scored a team-high 12 points (2-6 FG) and was 8-for-8 from the free throw line, to go along with 11 rebounds, five assists, and three blocks. It was her fourth double-double of the season.

In the NJAC statistical leaders through December 18, Fitzgerald leads the NJAC in minutes (322, 35.78) and total points (148). She is second in scoring average (16.4), third in defensive rebounding (7.00), fourth in rebounding (10.1) and assists (4.00), eighth in blocked shots (0.89), ninth in offensive rebounding (3.11), 10^th in assist/turnover ratio (0.86), and 13^th in free throw percentage (.718).
