Sophomore forward JUANITA SARRIA (Englewood, NJ/Dwight Morrow) is the NJCU Women's Athlete of the Week for the first time in her career after she posted one goal and four assists in a 1-1 week for the Gothic Knight women's soccer team. In all, she had six points on eight shots (five on goal) in 134 minutes of action.

For the season, Sarria is now third on the team with 17 points, with six goals and five assists while playing all 13 games (six starts). She hasd 19 shots this season, with 13 on goal.

In NJCU's 6-0 win over City College of New York on October 11, during which the Knights outshot the opposition, 45-0, she sparked the attack with one goal and three assists.

NJCU grabbed a 1-0 lead at the 20:29 mark when Sarria sent a thru ball from the top right corner of the box that set up a breakaway goal for teammate Jennifer Albuja. Just 2:33 later, Sarria scored one of her own when she scooped up a rebound and pounded it into the net at 22:52. At 74:27, Sarria dished a cross from the right sideline into the box, for her second assist of the game, and her cross from the deep right wing onto the left post helped cap the scoring at 84:44, with her third assist.

In a 4-2 road loss to FDU-Florham on October 8, Sarria sent a cross along the endline for an assist in the 72^nd minute that helped cut the deficit to 4-2.

Thru October 12, Sarria is tied for eighth in the NJAC in assists.
