Nick Britt is the NJCU Men’s Athlete of the Week for the first time in his career after he crushed the field in the discus throw with a toss of 44.93 meters (147-5), finishing first in a field of 22 competitors by a staggering 6.89 meters—winning by nearly 23 feet on April 19 at the 2009 Collegiate Track Conference Championship in Pomona, NJ.
 
A very high ECAC qualifying time, despite throwing into a wind, he tossed the second best discus distance in school history; he set the school record in 2008.
