As a freshman in 2004, KELLY DALY (Bayonne, NJ/Bayonne) scored four goals in 19 games. On September 3, she matched that output in just 76 minutes. Daly, a sophomore forward, scored four goals as New Jersey City University opened its 13th season of women’s soccer with a dominant 8-0 victory over Keystone. She has been selected as the first NJCU Women's Student-Athlete of the Week of the 2005-06 athletics season.

The win for NJCU (1-0) was its first in a season opener since a 6-1 rout over Mount St. Mary College (NY) to begin the 2001 season.

For Daly, the four-goal/eight-point outburst ranks second in single-game school history for goals and points in one contest.

At 15:06 of the first half, Daly made a steal from 35 yards out and drove to the goal uncontested for an easy score on a 1-on-1 breakaway that gave NJCU a 2-0 edge at halftime.

Daly made it 4-0 at 54:25 on a blast in the box off a short chip from Carine Carvalheiro, and she recorded her first career hat trick at 61:05 when she caused a turnover on the left sideline and angled a breakaway shot from 15 yards out on the left wing. Daly capped the scoring at 76:19 with a shot inside the left post.
