Senior guard CAROLINA GARCIA (Plainfield, NJ/Franklin) is the NJCU Women’s Athlete of the Week for the second time in her career after averaging 13.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.0 steals per game in a pair of contest for the Gothic Knights.

 

In an 84-64 loss at St. Joseph’s College (Brooklyn) on January 4, she netted 12 points, including a pair of three pointers (5-17 FG, 2-6 3FG) in 34 minutes, and added four steals, two rebounds and one assist.

 

She had a better effort in a 54-30 New Jersey Athletic Conference loss at The College of New Jersey on January 8. Garcia scored 14 of NJCU’s 30 points and shot 7-of-14, with four assists, four rebounds and one block. She shot .387 from the floor for the week.
