Junior outside hitter KENNY LISK (Old Bridge, NJ/Old Bridge) is the NJCU Men’s Athlete of the Week for the third time this season and in his career after earning All-Tournament Team accolades while leading the Gothic Knight men’s volleyball team to a 2-2 record and third place at the Wildcats Invitational at Johnson and Wales University in Providence, RI.
The 6-foot-0 hitter had either nine, 10 or 11 kills in every match during the week. He averaged 3.26 points, 2.82 kills, 1.00 digs and 0.53 blocks per set. Lisk hit .400 with 10 kills (10-2-20) and three blocks against Kean University on March 15.
On March 18, he added 11 kills, four blocks and a .364 percentage (11-3-22) in a 3-0 tournament win at Johnson and Wales. Later that night in a sweep of CCNY, Lisk was flawless, with nine kills and no errors on 15 swings for a .600 percentage.
In two matches on March 19 in the tournament, he hit .300 with nine kills (9-3-20) and two aces against Stevenson University and had nine kills and seven digs in a 3-2 marathon loss to Lasell College.
On the season in 107 sets and 30 matches (30 starts), he has 323 kills, 366.0 points, 117 digs, 47 blocks and 15 aces. He is averaging 3.02 kills per set and owns a .318 attack percentage (323-85-748) and 3.42 points per set. He has added 1.09 and 0.44 blocks per game.
Overall in the 47-team North East Collegiate Volleyball Association (NECVA) conference individual leaders, he ranks 31st in attack percentage, 36th in kills per set, and 46th in points per set.
