Sophomore middle blocker LIZZELLE CINTRON, the 2004 NCAA Division III national kills and kills per game leader, did something she’s never done before in NJCU’s 3-1 (27-30, 30-24, 30-19, 30-26) win over St. Joseph’s College (LI) on September 9: she recorded the first triple-double of her already noteworthy career. For her efforts, Cintron a six-time winner of the award last year, has been named the NJCU Women's Student-Athlete of the Week for the seventh time in her career and the first time in 2005.
Cintron notched 15 kills (15-7-40, .200), 21 digs, and 11 blocks, and added three service aces as NJCU improved to 2-2 overall.
