Drew Marley
Drew Marley was instrumental in NJCU posting its first two New Jersey Athletic Conference victories of the season last week as the 6-foot-4, 205-pounder established new career scoring highs in each game.

Marley, a Psychology major in his first season with the Knights following one year at William Paterson University,  averaged 14.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 1.5 assists while shooting 50 percent (10-20) from the field and 80 percent (8-10) from the foul line. He tallied 28 points, 10 rebounds and three assists in 62 minutes over two starts.

In a 58-48 win at Rutgers University-Camden on January 9, Marley had a then-career high with 12 points (6-13 FG) with four rebounds and two assists in 30 minutes.

He then topped that performance as NJCU downed The College of New Jersey on January 12 at home, 66-62. For the first time all season NJCU had four players score in double figures, led by Marley who reached in double figures for the fifth time this season. He used his size and strength to dominate inside, where he netted a career-best 16 points on 4-of-7 shooting with a stellar 8-of-10 foul shooting and six rebounds in 32 minutes. He had only attempted 17 free throws in his first 14 games this season prior to the game.

The rebounding and foul shooting totals were all career bests and he scored eight points in each half. Marley made perhaps his biggest basket as a Gothic Knight, grabbing a rebound of a missed three-pointer and laying in a putback with 41.0 seconds to go that rolled down and in off the front of the rim for a 63-58 and the eventual winning points. He twice had key passes and assists that led to 12-point leads in the second half.

For the season, Marley has produced 119 points, 37 rebounds, 12 assists, nine steals while starting all 15 games over 320 minutes. He is shooting .495 from the field (49-99) and .778 from the foul line (21-27), averaging 7.9 points, 2.5 boards and 0.8 assists per game. He is third on the team in scoring. Marley currently ranks sixth in the NJAC in field goal percentage.
