After scoring the game-winning goal in New Jersey City University's 3-0 road victory over Vassar College on September 14, senior center midfielder JOHAN GONZALEZ has been selected as the NJCU Men's Student-Athlete of the Week. It is the second time in his career he has been tabbed Athlete of the Week.

Gonzalez, who is NJCU's all-time leader in assists with 26, but is not known for his goal scoring, netted the game-winning tally just 14:19 into the first half, as NJCU, then No. 16 ranked nationally and second in the region, won its 299th game in school history. It was his third career goal and 32nd point.

Off a steal, Gonzalez scored his first goal and fourth point of the season when his shot from the top of the box found a home in the lower right corner of the net. NJCU added two second half goals for the 3-0 final.
