Aboubacar Diawara
Diawara earned All-Tournament Team honors at the Cialella Classic at Rutgers-Camden, scoring the game-tying goal in the 56th minute against Drew on September 7 as the Knights played their NCAA-record fifth consecutive overtime game to start the season before falling, 2-1.

On September 3, Diawara, who has scored three of NJCU’s first four goals this season, put away a golden goal rebound in the 102nd minute of double overtime as the Knights defeated CCNY, 2-1.

In three games, the 6-foot-0, 165-pound Criminal Justice major had six shots with four on goal while playing 177 minutes of field time.

Diawara, NJCU’s lone returning All-New Jersey Athletic Conference player, was previously the Men’s Athlete of the Week four times during the 2013 season—September 2 and 9 and October 14 and 21.
