Cassidy did his best to keep NJCU in a pair of games as he made 16 saves while facing 35 total shots. He had a .800 save percentage in 180:00 minutes.

In a 1-0 loss at Moravian on October 19, the Greyhounds scored on their first shot of the game but Cassidy largely held them in check from there, stopping eight shots—seven in the second half—to keep the Gothic Knights in contention.

On October 22 in a 3-1 loss to Stockton, he made eight more saves including several diving stops in the rain and wind on a wet, difficult grass surface. Stockton had 10 consecutive shots in the first half when Cassidy was under pressure.

For the season he has started all 18 games and played 1514 minutes while making 109 saves—a .757 save percentage. He has registered four shutouts while facing 299 total shots (2.08 goals against average) with an 8-9-1 record.
