Aaliyah Saud is a first-time winner of the NJCU Athlete of the Week award.

In two games last week, Saud, a 5-foot-5 Psychology major, had a breakout week, including her first 20-point performance.
She has scored in double figures in her first seven games as a Gothic Knight since transferring from Rowan College at Burlington County.
On the week she averaged 18.0 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 2.0 steals and 0.5 blocks per game, shooting 11-of-30 for the week and 9-of-12 from the line in 28.5 minutes per game.
In a road loss William Paterson, Saud scored in double figures for the sixth consecutive outing to begin her NJCU career and for the first time was the top Gothic Knight scorer, finishing with 15 points, with three three-pointers and four assists and two steals.
In a home loss to Rutgers-Camden, Saud scored a game and season-high 21 points in 28 minutes on the floor, including 7-of-8 from the line.
As of December 6, she is averaging 12.6 points, 3.3 rebounds, 3.4 steals and 2.3 assists per game while shooting 70.0 percent from the line (14-20). She started the first four games but has since been the first player off the bench. Her scoring average was as high as 14.3 points per game.
Saud, who has been the NJAC steals leader all season, continues to hold the top spot in the conference. She also lists 11th in three-pointers made per game (1.9) and 12th in scoring. Nationally, she ranks 14th in total steals, 23rd in three-point field goals attempted (54) and 49th in steals per game. As a team NJCU is seventh of 434 Division III schools in total steals (111).
