Harris, a 6-foot-2 Business Marketing major, takes home the accolade for the third time this season and a notable 10th time in just two seasons as a Gothic Knight.

Jalen Harris:
  • Harris continues to pace NJCU offensively and helped guarantee the NJAC preseason favorites will own a share of first place in the conference entering the new year.
  • Tabbed to the MBWA Division II-III Honorable Mention list for the week by the Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association.
  • He was part of another impressive week for NJCU which won twice, defeating Kean on the road on December 7 in a 78-52 rout before limiting a league-unbeaten TCNJ squad that averaged 81.3 points per game nearly 30 under its scoring average in a 54-52 victory December 10.
  • Harris averaged 13.5 points and 2.0 rebounds, shooting 83.3 percent from the line and 42.9 percent from the field in 26.0 minutes per game.
  • In the win over Kean, he scored 11 of his game-high 17 points in the second half. He shot 4-of-9 from three-point distance and 6-of-13 overall in 23 minutes.
  • Harris was a big part of the defensive effort in the shutout of TCNJ. Offensively, he took just eight shots and was NJCU’s only player in double digits, netting 10 (3-8 FG). He was 4-of-4 from the line, coming in as NJCU’s top scorer (18.6).
  • On the season, Harris is averaging 17.7 points, 3.4 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 0.9 steals per game while shooting 50.0 percent from the field (58-116), 39.6 percent from three-point range (21-53) and 22-of-34 at the line (.647) while starting all nine games.
  • He has scored in double figures in every game this season and 33 times in 37 career games as a Gothic Knight, scoring 639 points. He has four 20-point efforts this year and 14 in two seasons.
  • Harris currently ranks fourth in the NJAC in scoring. He also lists fifth in three-pointers made per game (2.3), ninth in field goal percentage and 11th in three-point percentage.
  • Harris helped NJCU earn a record 54 points in this week’s D3hoops.com Top 25 poll—equivalent to a No. 26 national ranking.
