NJCU is 3-0-0 to open a season for the third consecutive season thanks to a five-point effort by the senior striker in a 3-1 win over Yeshiva on September 7.
Sanoh tallied a pair of goals, his fourth and fifth of the season, and chipped in an assist, each time extending the Knight lead to two goals, thus keeping Yeshiva at arm’s length on the afternoon. NJCU outshot the Maccabees for the game, 33-5 and 18-1 in the first half. Sanoh had nine shots in the win.
After assisting on the first goal 93 seconds into the second half by teammate Edric De Paula, he powered a shot past the Yeshiva keeper in the 64th minute for a 2-0 lead. After Yeshiva scored in the 80th minute, he put the game away just over two minutes later, cashing in on a penalty kick.
After scoring just four times as a junior, Sanoh now leads the New Jersey Athletic Conference with 12 points (five goals, two assists) after three games.
Sanoh currently ranks tied for second in the NJAC in total goals (5), goals per game (1.67), shots per game (6.00), total shots (18), total assists (2), and game-winning goals (0.67) and third in assists per game (0.67).
Sanoh currently ranks No. 3 in NCAA Division III in points per game. He lists sixth in goals per game, seventh in total goals, seventh in game-winning goals, eighth in total points,12th in shots per game, 13th in shots on goal per game (3.33), 81st in assists per game and 89th in total assists.
