JERSEY CITY, NJ… Michelle Swawola has been named Assistant Athletic Trainer at New Jersey City University, the Athletic Department has announced. Swawola, a resident of Colonia, NJ, replaces Steve Quagliani, who resigned in January 2001.

Swawola, a May 2000 graduate of Kean University, has worked at NJCU as a part-time trainer through Kessler Sports Institute since February 2001. She is certified in CPR, First Aid, and Automated External Defibrillator.

“Michelle is a dedicated trainer who has good rehab skills, and a good background coming over from Kean,” said Karin Damon, NJCU’s head athletic trainer. “She is always looking for new techniques in athletic training, and will be a valuable asset to our department, which has been short-staffed. With her knowledge added to the staff, it will allow us to pay extra attention to the needs of our 13-team athletic program.”
