MEN’S GAME RESCHEDULED FOR OCTOBER 16
JERSEY CITY, NJ…New Jersey City University’s men’s and women’s home soccer doubleheader scheduled for October 8 has been postponed due to poor field conditions, with more heavy rain yet to fall this weekend. The NJCU men (9-3) were scheduled to meet St. Joseph’s College (LI) at 1 p.m., followed by the women against Mount Saint Mary College (NY) at 3 p.m.
The men’s game against St. Joseph’s has been rescheduled for Sunday, October 16 at 1p.m. at the Robert L. McNulty Memorial Soccer Field. With NJCU also playing home games on October 15 and October 17, the Gothic Knights will have their endurance tested with three games in three days next week. NJCU will return to action on Monday, October 10 with a 3 p.m. home game against Farmingdale State University.
The women’s game against MSMC has not been rescheduled, although every attempt will be made to make up the contest. The women’s team next plays on Wednesday, October 12 in a New Jersey Athletic Conference game at Ramapo College at 4:30 p.m.
