CAMDEN, NJ…Senior forward Aubree McDermott (Moorestown, NJ/Moorestown) collected three goals and two assists to tie her own single-game point record of eight, and senior forward Katie O’Connor (Sewell, NJ/Washington Township) added seven points on two goals and three assists as Rutgers University-Camden shutout New Jersey City University, 7-0, in the final New Jersey Athletic Conference women’s soccer game of the season for both schools, played at Rutgers-Camden Community Park on Wednesday night.
Rutgers-Camden improves to 10-8-1 overall and finishes at 3-6-0 in the NJAC. NJCU closes its 14th season of women’s soccer at 3-15-0 overall and 0-9-0 in the NJAC. Camden had a 33-7 advantage in shots and 21-3 on goal. The Scarlet Raptors were whistled for 15 offsides.
McDermott notched her second hat trick of the season in the first half and also had one assist as the Raptors took a 5-0 halftime lead. She completed her night with a second-half assist to tie her own mark of eight points (three goals and two assists) set against the College of St. Elizabeth on October 7. Her hat trick marked her second of the season and the ninth in program history, to give her 11 goals overall this season.
O’Connor netted her fifth and sixth goals of the year and had seven points at halftime. She collected each of her three assists on McDermott’s goals. Her three-assist game was the 11th in Raptors’ history.
Camden also received a goal and an assist from freshman midfielder Tina Mascia (Deptford, NJ/Washington Township), one goal from freshman forward Kate Campbell (Mt. Ephraim, NJ/Audubon), two assists from junior midfielder Deanna Richardson (Moorestown, NJ/Moorestown) and one assist from freshman back Kristen Borton (Maple Shade, NJ/Maple Shade) for her first collegiate point.

ALEXIS CHISARI (Secaucus, NJ/Secaucus) stopped 13 saves while playing under pressure, and thwarted numerous other threats, to finish the year with 130 saves. Camden junior goalie
Kristen Cargen (Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill East) made two saves for the Raptors to notch her second shutout of the season. The team has seven shutouts overall.
