New Jersey City University made its return to the New Jersey Athletic Conference a winning one, with a 3-2 victory over Rutgers-Newark, at the Thomas M. Gerrity Athletic Complex.
NJCU (13-9, 1-0 NJAC) wins its fifth consecutive game, while Newark falls to 9-9 and 1-1 NJAC. The Knights, in their conference opener, were playing their first NJAC game since May 4, 2004.
