JERSEY CITY, NJ…Senior forward Heather Anzivino (Belford, NJ/Middletown North) recorded a 10-point effort for Kean University, notching four consecutive goals and two assists as the Cougars defeated New Jersey City University, 9-0, in a New Jersey Athletic Conference game at the Robert L. The win for Kean (6-2-0, 2-2-0 NJAC) snaps a streak of losing two out of three and gives the Cougars a 13-0 margin in the all-time series. NJCU falls to 2-7-0 overall and 0-4-0 in the league.

Anzivino, who entered the game having accounted for more than half of the Cougar’s offensive output this season, and as the NJAC leader in goals, goals per game, points per game, shots, and shots per game, continued that trend as she tied the Kean single-game school record for goals, accomplished on seven previous occasions. She has 13 goals and 29 points this season.

Junior forward/midfielder Michelle Fischer (Scotch Plains, NJ/Scotch Plains-Fanwood), and senior midfielder Lisa Battaglia (Gibbstown, NJ/Paulsboro) each chipped in single assists.
Anzivino had a piece in the first five goals of the game, assisting on Blackburn’s second goal of the season and eventual game-winner just 1:19 into the contest. Anzivino then scored four consecutive goals of her own at 5:52, 9:30, 28:40, and 31:07. She finished the game with nine shots, including seven on goal.
