JERSEY CITY, NJ…
Sophomore forward JUANITA SARRIA (Englewood, NJ/Dwight Morrow) delivered three assists and added one goal and six different players scored for New Jersey City University, which outshot City College of New York 45-0, en route to a 6-0 victory in a non-conference women's soccer game on Saturday at the Robert L. McNulty Memorial Soccer Field. NJCU's six goals gives it 49 this year, breaking the single-season record of 45 by the 1994 team.

NJCU (7-6) snaps a six-game losing streak by improving to 8-1 all-time against the Beavers, who fall to 3-6 overall. NJCU has outscored CCNY, 61-6, in the series.

While NJCU sophomore goalkeeper KELLY REILLY (Pennsville, NJ/Pennsville Memorial) was not challenged in recording her 10th career shutout, she became the Gothic Knights' all-time leader in victories as a keeper with 14, eclipsing the mark of 13 originally achieved by Michelle Vance from 1993-94.

Sophomore striker JENNIFER ALBUJA (Union City, NJ/Hoboken) scored her 22nd goal of the year and 46th of her career, leaving her two points shy of becoming the first NJCU women's soccer player to reach the century mark. She has 98 points in 31 career games, and extended her program record for career game-winning goals to nine, with five this season.

Freshman midfielder ERICA BUONACQUISTA (Aberdeen, NJ/Bayonne) chipped in a goal and an assist and freshman midfielder NICOLE SWEENEY (Chenango Forks, NY/Chenango Forks) scored her first career goal. Freshman midfielder ABBY PALMATEER (Saratoga Springs, NY/Schuylerville (NY)) added her third goal of the season while freshman midfielder NICOLE SARICA (Linden, NJ/Linden) stuck her eighth shot in the back of the net.

In defeat, CCNY sophomore keeper Angelika Slabiak (Zomosc, Poland/Laguardia CC) made 12 saves against 18 shots on goal.

NJCU grabbed a 1-0 lead at the 20:29 mark when Sarria sent a thru ball from the top right corner of the box that set Albuja up for a one-on-one with Slabiak, which was slipped into the left side of the net.

Just 2:33 later, Sarria scored one of her own. Buonacquista slammed a shot off the right post with a blast from the left wing, and a second later Sarria tapped the rebound into the net at 22:52. It was Buonacquista's first career assist.

At 39:29, Buonacquista made it a 3-0 halftime lead. After a rebound caromed out to her near the top of the box, she gathered the loose ball and lofted a high shot over the keeper's head. NJCU outshot the Beavers in the period, 24-0.

At the 67:42 mark of the second half, Sweeney collected her first goal of the year when she aired out a deep shot from 35 yards away that badly fooled the opposing keeper, before landing in the left side of the net.

Palmateer
's third goal of the year came at 74:27. Sarria dished a cross from the right sideline into the box, before Palmateer flicked a shot into the left side of the goal.
