JERSEY CITY, NJ…
Sophomore striker JENNIFER ALBUJA (Union City, NJ/Hoboken) scored three goals, including her 26th of the season and 50th of her career and added an assist, as New Jersey City University outshot College of Saint Elizabeth, 44-2, and blew past the Eagles, 9-0, in a non-conference game at the Robert L. McNulty Memorial Soccer Field. Albuja, who now has 26 goals and 56 points this season, broke her own school records of 24 goals and 51 points achieved last year.

On a cold day where extremely gusty winds blew in off of Newark Bay, NJCU was whistled for an amazing 35 offsides. It is believed to be a single-game NCAA record, and is twice the previous highest amount in Gothic Knight history (17, October 5, 2005 vs. College of Staten Island). The wind played a major role in ball control during the game.

With the win, NJCU (8-8) wins eight games in a season for the second time in school history and leads the all-time series 8-4, with four straight wins against the Eagles (2-13). CSE dropped its sixth straight game. It was the sixth time NJCU has scored at least five goals in a game this season.
Albuja, who entered the game with 23 goals and 100 career points, scored the second, sixth and seventh goals of the contest as she recorded her sixth hat trick of season and ninth of her career while notching her 14th multiple-goal game.

Albuja
, one of 21 players in New Jersey Athletic Conference history to record 100 career points and one of just two to accomplish the feat as a sophomore, climbed into 14th place in league history with 107 total points. She also moved past current men's soccer senior Cristhian Acuna (105 points, 2005-08) for the second most between men's and women's players in school history.

Now with 26 goals, she is tied for the second most in single-season NJAC history. Her 56 points are fourth most in the league's annals.

Freshman forward NICOLE SARICA (Linden, NJ/Linden) collected two assists. Freshman midfielder KRISTINE VINELES (Union, NJ/Union) and sophomore defender CAROLINA GARCIA (Plainfield, NJ/Franklin) provided single assists.

Irizarry
's first goal since the 2006 season proved to be the game-winner at 6:29 when she one-timed a cross from Sarica inside the left post. Albuja tied the single-season record for goals at 13:10 when she drove to the net on a breakaway, collected her own rebound, and knocked in a shot from 15 yards. Just 43 seconds later, Sarria scored her seventh goal of the year as Irizarry dished a breakaway ball up the middle. Musa made it 4-0 at 19:28 when she lofted a shot into the wind and over the visiting keeper from 20 yards out off a thru ball from Vineles. It was 4-0 at the half as NJCU held a 24-0 advantage in shots, despite 22 offsides.

At 50:18 a shot by Albuja was saved, but Emabat tallied her second goal of the year when she immediately headed the rebound inside the right post. Albuja received the assist.

Albuja
followed with two goals in a span of 29 seconds at 64:46 and 65:15. She broke the school record for goals in a season with her initial score, as she blasted a breakaway pass from Sarria into the right side of the net. Sarica, who provided her team-leading eighth assist, set up an Albuja chip from 12 yards with a cross.

also caused an own goal at 65:54 when her cross from the left endline was inadvertently knocked in for an own goal by CSE's keeper. With the own goal, NJCU scored three times in 68 seconds. Musa concluded the scoring at 87:26 on a breakaway goal set up by a pass from Garcia who collected her first career point.

Sophomore goalkeeper KELLY REILLY (Pennsville, NJ/Pennsville Memorial) needed one save for her fourth shutout of the year and school record 11th of her career. In defeat, CSE freshman keeper Michelle Stephens (Moira, Northern Ireland/Lurgan College) made 18 saves.
