JACQUELINE LeBLANC (Westfield, NJ/Westfield), the NJAC Player of the Week for the second straight week, slammed 16 kills and hit .300 overall as
New Jersey City University improved to .500 for the season with a 3-0 (25-14, 25-9, 25-18) sweep of Farmingdale State College in a non-conference match on Thursday night at Lynch Sports Center.
NJCU improves to 4-4 overall with its second straight win and is now 7-4 all-time against Farmingdale. The Rams (5-4) were playing their home opener.
LeBlanc nearly had as many kills as the entire Farmingdale team (17 kills, -.044
percentage) by herself. She had a line of 16-7-30 with six digs. Senior middle blocker SARAH TORRES (Elizabeth, NJ/Science) added eight kills on just one error (8-2-17) for a .353 percentage, and three blocks.
Sophomore setter #ALEX JOHANESEN# (Bridgewater, NJ/Bridgewater-Raritan) guided the NJCU offense to a .224 hitting percentage (34-17-76), posting 31 assists along with two assisted blocks.

JENNIFER HATCH (Paterson, NJ/Mary Help of Christians Academy) provided four kills and hit .333 (4-2-6).
Farmingdale freshman middle Dominique Cunningham (Amityville, NY/Copiague) tallied six kills in the match for the host team.
NJCU next plays on Tuesday, September 23 at 7 p.m. when it hosts William Paterson University in a New Jersey Athletic Conference match at the John J. Moore Athletics and Fitness Center. NJCU will put its 12-match NJAC regular season winning streak on the line.
