With 12:38 left, Smalls hit a fade away three-pointer from 24 feet out with two seconds left on the shot clock to cut the Ospreys lead to six, 44-38. But Lancioni responded with a twirling lay-in to push the margin back to eight, 46-38 for the Ospreys, who shot 11-of-24 (.406) in the half.
Stockton's lead would balloon to 15, 58-43, with 5:43 left, on a Smith jumper. The Knights would close to within six again late, as Lopez drilled a three at the end of an 11-2 run that cut it to 60-54 with 36 seconds left, but the Ospreys made five of six foul shots to seal it.
NJCU is back in action on Monday, January 26 at 7 p.m. when it visits John Jay College in a non-conference affair on the road in New York, NY. The Ospreys will play Rutgers-Camden in an NJAC game at home on Wednesday, January 28.
