WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL OPENS SEASON, GOING 1-2; KNIGHTS DOWN FARMINGDALE STATE FOR FIRST VICTORY

LANGHORNE, PA (www.NJCUGothicKnights.com)...New Jersey City University opened its 2009 women's volleyball campaign on Saturday, going 1-2 overall, at the Crimson Eagle Classic hosted by Philadelphia Biblical University. By defeating Farmingdale State College in the final match of the day, 3-1 (21-25, 25-19, 25-18, 25-13), NJCU gave first-year head coach NICOLE TALLARIDA her first collegiate victory.
 
NJCU dropped its first two matches, falling to Baruch College, 3-0 (25-22, 25-19, 26-24) and host PBU, 3-0 (25-16, 25-14, 25-22).
