INDIGO HATCHER (Jersey City, NJ/Lincoln) paced the offense with a .316 hitting percentage as NJCU swept the Dolphins, 3-0 (25-13, 25-15, 25-20), in a non-conference match on Monday night on 'Coach Charlie Brown Court' at the John J. Moore Athletics and Fitness Center.
NJCU snapped a four-match losing streak, improving to 6-18. Mount falls to 9-18; the Dolphins lead the all-time series, 4-2. It was the first meeting between the schools in women's volleyball since October 14, 1989 and first match in Jersey City since October 2, 1986.
NJCU hit .193 as a team (29-12-88) and matched the single-match high mark for the season. NJCU had a combined 12 service aces and seven blocks and only trailed once in the entire match in the early stages of the first set.
Medley matched her career high in blocks and exceeded three blocks in a match for the eighth time this season while hitting .238 with a match high in kills (8-3-21).
Hatcher landed seven kills on just one error in 19 attempts and stuffed two solo blocks.

Renee Reynes (Bronx, NY/Aquinas) registered a double-double of 11 kills and 11 digs as a libero and setter. NJCU limited the Dolphins to a -.029 hitting percentage (22-25-104)—the third time the Knights have forced an opponent into a negative attack rate.
NJCU had an 11-6 kills margin in the first set and after trailing early 3-0, stormed back for 13 of the next 16 points. That lead expanded to 21-9 behind the serving of
Martinez and NJCU cruised to a 25-13 win in the set.
NJCU was well polished in the second set, hitting .320 as a team with 10 kills (two errors, 25 swings) and never trailed nor were tied in the period.
Medley had three kills in four attempts with two blocks in the set and
Jordan hit .600 with three winners on five attacks. Leading 16-12, the Knights scored six of the next seven points for a 22-13 advantage, before taking the set by 10 points, 25-15.
NJCU never trailed in the third set, as all players who dressed for the Knights saw extended action. NJCU had six of its aces in the final set—four by
Martinez, and a pair by freshman

NJCU will return to action with a non-conference contest tomorrow (Tuesday, October 25) at 7 p.m. against the College of Saint Elizabeth in Morristown, NJ.
