JERSEY CITY, NJ (NJCUGothicKnights.com) | New Jersey City University's women's basketball team honored the victims of the Newtown, Connecticut school shooting on December 19 during its home contest against the United States Merchant Marine Academy.
The Gothic Knights wore green and white shoelaces and green and white ribbons while players wrote messages on their sneakers or wrists, honoring the 27 children and adults who were tragically lost on December 14. Green and white are the school colors of Sandy Hook Elementary School.
