EWING, NJ (NJCUGothicKnights.com) | Saturday's New Jersey Athletic Conference doubleheader between
New Jersey City University and The College of New Jersey in Ewing has had the first pitch for game one moved up 90 minutes from 1 p.m. to 11:30 a.m. to avoid rain, which is in the forecast.
NJCU (11-21, 2-10 NJAC) will play games 33 and 34 of the 40-game schedule. TCNJ (19-11, 8-4 NJAC) is locked in a four-way tie for second place in the conference.
Game Note: During the doubleheader, TCNJ will be "Playing for Orange," raising money to support a local resident and her fight against leukemia. Proceeds will benefit Wilmeris, who is a fifth grader in the Ewing School District and lives next door to a number of TCNJ student-athletes. Raffle tickets will be available throughout the games with the winning ticket being drawn in the fifth inning of the second game.
