JERSEY CITY, NJ (NJCUGothicKnights.com) | The New Jersey City University men's soccer team will make history on Tuesday, October 22 when the Gothic Knights play what is believed to be the first home night game in the 55-year history of the program.

NJCU will challenge Maritime College (NY) in the 7:30 p.m. game that will be played on the turf at Jersey City's Caven Point Complex. The facility is located at 1 Chapel Avenue in Jersey City, NJ (07305) and ample parking is available. The complex is a short six-minute, 1.5 mile drive from campus.

"With games at three in the afternoon, it's sometimes hard for parents to see their son or players to have their friends see them play," noted second-year head coach Patrick Snyder. "This will be a good opportunity for them. Even though it won't be at the Robert McNulty field [NJCU's grass home field], it's still a great opportunity for the players, their families and friends and it will be a fun experience to play a home game under the lights. It will be a good time for everyone and we hope to see other members of the University community in the stands."

"We most certainly hope to work with the Jersey City Department of Recreation to continue doing this in the future and that's currently being discussed. This is a great thing for the program to be doing."

For those who cannot make the game in person, live stats and a live video stream of the contest will be available at www.NJCUGothicKnights.com under the Gothic Knights Events Calendar.
