JADE MEDLEY (Queens, NJ/Hudson Catholic) hit .600, putting away six kills without an error (10 attempts) to pace the Knights. She added two blocks.

JESSICA PEREZ (Cliffside Park, NJ/Cliffside Park) landed four aces while junior opposite
ASHLEY LATUSHKO (Kearny, NJ/Kearny) chipped in three aces.

No Gryphon had more than four kills.
Jenai Richards was the most accurate with four kills against one error (.250, 12 attempts).
Janet Tonyan had seven assists and two aces.

In the opening set, SLC hit -.130 (5-8-23). NJCU only had eight kills but it was enough as the Knights jumped out to a 20-8 lead. When SLC used an 8-2 run to pull within four (22-18), the Knights notched the final three points to seal the game.

Offensively, NJCU began to put it together in the second set, slugging 12 kills for a .333 percentage (12-4-24). Despite seven ties and a pair of early lead changes, the Knights began to pull away midway through the period after back-to-back kills by
Scarpa and
Medley made it 16-13. NJCU scored five of the final six points of the set to clinch it.

In game three, NJCU surged out to a 12-0 advantage, extending the differential to an incredible 17-1 before running away with the game, 25-8. NJCU hit .348 with 11 winners (11-3-23) in the set while SLC had a -.188 attack rate.
