Bria Smith's Historic Free Throw Effort Not Enough in Foul-Filled, Turnover-Plagued Game

JERSEY CITY, NJ (NJCUGothicKnights.com) | New Jersey City University sophomore power forward Bria Smith (Bayonne, NJ/St. Dominic Academy) notched her fourth double-double of the season with 23 points and 18 rebounds and shot an all-time great rate from the line (15-of-17), but NJCU's upset bid of undefeated Rowan University was hindered by 36 turnovers in a 77-61 New Jersey Athletic Conference women's basketball loss to the Profs on December 6 at the John J. Moore Athletics and Fitness Center.
 
Rowan improves to 7-0 (4-0 NJAC), outscoring NJCU (3-4, 0-4 NJAC) 48-32 in the second half after the clubs went to the break knotted at 29-29. NJCU dropped its fourth straight following a 3-0 start to the season.
