Sophomore shooting guard KHALID MUHAMMAD (Orange, NJ/Orange) scored 14 in defeat for NJCU on 5-of-12 shooting, seven rebounds, two blocks and two steals in 33 minutes. He scored 12 in the first half (4-8 FG).

In his 100th career game, senior small forward WALIK ALBRIGHT (Jersey City, NJ/Create Charter) pushed his career scoring mark to 1,037, collecting 13 points (6-10) in 31 minutes. Senior guard JAHMILL JENKINS (Elizabeth, NJ/Elizabeth) totaled 10 points (4-9 FG), connecting on 2-of-5 from long range while adding five rebounds.

The remaining nine players who saw action accounted for just 12 points and none scored more than three.

Meanwhile, Stockton, which led comfortably at halftime (36-27), was led by a game-high 15 points from James Williams who scored all 15 of his points in 15 minutes of action in the opening period when he shot 4-of-6 from the field, 3-of-4 from three-point distance and 4-of-5 from the stripe. Williams played another 10 minutes in the second half without scoring, missing two field goals and two free throws (4-8 FG, 4-7 FT).

Josh Blamon collected 13 points for the Ospreys in 21 minutes shooting 3-of-4 from three-point country. He made 4-of-4 foul shots in the win.  Also for the hosts, Kevin Johnson had eight points and four steals and Rameel Johnson gathered nine rebounds.

"We are a team playing with absolutely no confidence," said clearly disappointed head coach Marc Brown. "I'm not even angry anymore. I feel sorry for these guys."

In a game postponed 24 hours due to winter weather, Stockton seized early control of a game tied at 4-4 by unleashing a 10-0 run over a 5:20 span that saw it gain a 14-4 margin just eight minutes into the contest. Williams knocked down a pair of threes during the stretch. Another jumper by Williams after he previously hit three shots from the line, pushed the lead to 11 (22-11) with 7:47 to play in the period.

NJCU twice cut the deficit to five including 24-19 with 3:41 to play before the Ospreys countered with their second 10-0 run of the period, working the differential to 15 points, 34-19, with 1:46 on the clock. Five different Stockton players scored during the 10-point break.

The Ospreys were never challenged in the second half and led by as many as 24 points (59-35, 7:25) at the tail end of an 18-4 outburst that covered a span of 8:02 in the middle of the period. NJCU did outscore the hosts 10-3 in the final five minutes to make it a little closer.

With four NJAC games remaining, NJCU begins the backstretch of its schedule with a home tilt against third-place William Paterson University on Saturday, February 8 at the John J. Moore Athletics and Fitness Center in Jersey City. WP won the first meeting in Wayne on January 11, 69-66.
