In the opener, TCNJ tallied season highs for runs (13) and hits (14), scoring in each of the first four innings. The Lions scored twice in the first inning, three more in the second with two runs in the third inning for a 7-1 advantage before a six spot in the fourth enforced the eight-run rule.

Williams batted 2-for-3 with two RBIs, one run and a double. Her double in the second inning made it 2-0 before her sixth-inning solo homer increased the margin to 6-0.
