But a four-run deficit quickly becoming an almost unattainable rally when RCNJ scored four in the top of the eighth. An RBI double by
Werr added to the lead before
Werr came around with an eighth run on a two-out error.
Kelly lined a one-hopper that ate up the shortstop for a two-run single and a 10-2 final differential.
NJCU plays two final NJAC Tournament games on Saturday, April 26 at 11:30 a.m. against Montclair State University in Little Falls, NJ before finishing the year with six non-conference games.
