GLASSBORO, NJ (NJCUGothicKnights.com) | Unbeaten Rowan University jumped out to a 20-0 lead in the first 3:45 of the first half and led by 22 at the end of the first quarter as the host Profs knocked off the
New Jersey City University women's basketball team, 88-45, in a New Jersey Athletic Conference game on December 5 at Esby Gymnasium.

Rowan improved to 7-0 (3-0 NJAC) and led 27-4 with 3:26 to go in the opening quarter before owning margins of 32-10 at the end of the first period and 54-21 at halftime. NJCU fell to 1-5 (0-3 NJAC). The Profs largest lead came with 2:10 left in the fourth quarter (88-40).

Rowan shot 36-of-78 from the field (.462) and 7-of-21 from three-point distance (.333). NJCU converted just 17 shots in the game (.333, 17-51) and committed 30 turnovers (17 for Rowan).

The Profs outscored NJCU in the paint, 52-22, and its bench notched 50 points. The Profs had 15 players see at least eight minutes of action with 13 reaching the scoring column.

Kaitlin Schullstrom led all scorers with 22 points in just 14 minutes, shooting 8-of-14 overall and 4-of-7 from three-point range.
Olivia Rulon added 12 points (4-10 FG, 3-5 3FG).
Melissa Lake chipped in eight points (4-8 FG), five rebounds and four steals and
Kate Matthews grabbed eight rebounds. Four other players scored between six and eight points.

Christine Bizub (Fort Lee, NJ/Fort Lee) led NJCU with a career-high 11 points, knocking down 3-of-5 three-point tries (4-8 3FG).in 16 minutes. Sophomore power forward/center
Sharaunda Fiedtkou (West Orange, NJ/Bayonne) finished with a career-high 10 points on 5-of-7 shooting and grabbed six rebounds.
