Baseball/Softball Schedules Continue to Change Due to Weather

Baseball and softball hope to play a game north of Florida at some point this season.

JERSEY CITY, N.J. (NJCUGothicKnights.com) | Spring may be arriving on the calendar, but outdoor sports at New Jersey City University's continue to be impacted by poor late winter weather as four softball and four baseball games this week have seen schedule changes.

NJCU's home baseball game against Old Westbury on Wednesday, March 18 was postponed with a makeup date yet to be determined. NJCU's road game against Moravian College, originally scheduled for Thursday, March 19, has been pushed back to Friday, March 27 at 3:30 p.m. in Bethlehem, Pa. Additionally, NJCU's road doubleheader at St. Joseph's College (LI), on Saturday, March 21 has been snowed out; those teams will attempt to play Sunday if conditions permit.
 
NJCU's home softball doubleheader against Yeshiva University on March 19 is rescheduled for Friday, April 17 at 11 a.m. in Jersey City. Meanwhile, NJCU's home doubleheader against the College of Staten Island on March 21 has been snowed out. A makeup date for that twinbill will be announced moving forward.
 
Baseball has now had 11 games either cancelled entirely or postponed while softball faces its first four postponements this year.
