New Jersey City University outhit Ramapo College in both ends of its 2015 New Jersey Athletic Conference-opening doubleheader, but Ramapo rallied midway through game one and survived game two on a game-ending play at the plate as the Roadrunners edged NJCU, 3-1 and 5-4, on March 28 at the Thomas M. Gerrity Athletic Complex.
After two previous attempts to play its home opener, NJCU (3-7, 0-2) finally got action in on its home diamond but had to endure a cold day where the temperature hovered in the mid 30s with at times challenging winds. After winning three in a row prior to returning north from Florida, the Gothic Knights have dropped four straight. Ramapo (10-6, 2-0 NJAC) snapped a four-game losing streak with the sweep.
