JERSEY CITY, N.J. (NJCUGothicKnights.com) | Rutgers University-Camden posted 10 hits in each game and swept a New Jersey Athletic Conference softball doubleheader from New Jersey City University, 10-0 in five innings and 11-3 in seven innings on April 25 at the Thomas M. Gerrity Athletic Complex.

Junior first baseman Faith Ely (Vienna, NJ/Hackettstown) homered in the fifth inning of game two to make it a one-run game (4-3). Prior to the twinbill, the Gothic Knights honored its two seniors, left-handed pitcher Ashley Latushko (Kearny, N.J./Kearny) and senior left/right fielder Crystal Torres (North Bergen, NJ/North Bergen).

Camden, the upcoming sixth seed in the NJAC Tournament, improved to 21-11 and 11-7 NJAC with the sweep. NJCU dropped to 2-30 (0-18 NJAC; Streak: Lost 15). It was the final weekend doubleheader of the season and the last NJAC contests.
