New Jersey City University, but the Gothic Knights bounced back with explosive bats in game two, burning the Red Dragons, 15-3 in seven innings as the clubs split a doubleheader on March 10 on day two of the Clemente Cup 2016 Puerto Rico Spring Break trip.

NJCU (3-1) scored three times in the bottom of the first inning in game one after Oneonta (3-6) jumped out to a 2-0 lead. Four runs in the fourth and a seven spot in the fifth turned the game into a rout.

Game 1: Oneonta State College 7, New Jersey City University 4NJCU led 4-2 after the top of the fourth, before Oneonta chipped away with single runs in the fourth and seventh. The Knights committed three errors in the bottom of the eighth.
