New Jersey City University softball team shutout Lehman College, 11-0 in five innings in game two of a non-conference doubleheader on March 24. In game one of the home-opening twinbill at the Thomas M. Gerrity Athletic Complex, NJCU breezed past Lehman, 13-2, also in five innings.

With the two wins, NJCU improves to 9-5 and wins for the fifth and sixth consecutive games to open the northern portion of its schedule. The 9-5 ledger is NJCU's best 14-game start to a season since opening the 2001 campaign at 15-5.
