UNION, N.J. (NJCUGothicKnights.com) | First-place Kean University had a 38-15 margin in kills and defeated the New  Jersey City University women's volleyball team, 3-0 (25-18, 25-11, 25-17) in a New Jersey Athletic Conference match on October 5 at Harwood Arena.

Kean (17-5) improved to 6-0 in the NJAC to take a commanding lead in the conference standings while holding the Gothic Knights (9-9, 1-4 NJAC) to a -.039 attack percentage (15-18-77) and a 35 percent sideout rate.

Kean junior outside hitter Vikki Stec (Elmwood Park, N.J.) paced the Cougars with 10 kills at a .444 percentage (10-2-18) and sophomore middle hitter Jesse Larkin (Redwood City, Calif.) hit .600 with nine kills (9-0-15).
