Jonathan Franco (South River, NJ/South River) scored his second goal of the season exactly seven minutes into the game to give the
New Jersey City University men's soccer team a 1-0 lead but Rutgers-Camden tied it just 80 seconds later and scored four times in the second half to pull away from NJCU, 5-1, in a New Jersey Athletic Conference game on October 7 at Rutgers-Camden Community Park.

Rutgers-Camden (6-5-3, 2-2-1 NJAC) ran its unbeaten streak in the series to 15 consecutive games while NJCU dropped to 4-6-2 (0-4-1 NJAC). Rutgers-Camden had a 20-9 differential in shots and nine of 12 corner kicks.

Junior midfielder
Vincenzo Masitti (New Egypt, N.J.) tied the game and assisted on the eventual game-winner early in the 49th minute. Freshman forward
Joni Gjyleri (Egg Harbor Township, N.J.) scored the game-winner while adding an assist on the fourth goal. Â Sophomore
Cristian Ognibene (Marlton, N.J.) scored his first two goals of the season—netting tallies late in the 85th minute then another with three seconds remaining.

Franco gave NJCU a 1-0 lead when he collected a loose ball outside the top of the box and fired a shot into the left of the net. Just 1:20 later,
Guyer crossed a ball from the left and
Muse touched it to
Masitti for a shot inside the right post to tie it at 1-1 on the double assist. Tied 1-1 at halftime,
Masitti returned the favor, setting up
Gjyleri just 3:04 into the second half.

Clayton Taylor (Mendham, N.J.) produced his sixth goal of the season in the 74th minute to break open what was a one-goal game before RUC added the two late goals.

James Brett (Palmyra, N.J.) each made three saves for their respective teams.
